Discuss November/December’s Poll

Note: All polls will now run for two months rather than one, allowing more votes to be cast.

I decided to let November’s poll run into December (play, I actually forgot about it until midway through December and figured keeping it open another few week’s wouldn’t hurt). Recall that September’s poll asked visitors to pick their favorite season. November/December’s poll asked them to choose their least favorite (or, in other words, the worst season). A total of 220 votes were cast and here are the results:

Season 11 (1982-1983) (36%, 80 Votes)
Season 1 (1972-1973) (20%, 45 Votes)
Season 10 (1981-1982) (14%, 30 Votes)
Season 9 (1980-1981) (6%, 14 Votes)
Season 5 (1976-1977) (5%, 10 Votes)
Season 3 (1974-1975) (4%, 9 Votes)
Season 7 (1978-1979) (4%, 9 Votes)
Season 2 (1973-1974) (4%, 8 Votes)
Season 4 (1975-1976) (3%, 6 Votes)
Season 8 (1979-1980) (3%, 6 Votes)
Season 6 (1977-1978) (1%, 3 Votes)

Perhaps not surprisingly, Season 11 was easily voted the “worst” season with Seasons 10 and Season 9 the third and fourth-worst. But why was Season 1 voted the second worst season? Certainly, some of the early episodes are a bit rough. I wonder if perhaps some people were confused about the poll and inadvertently voted for Season 1 thinking they were casting a vote for their favorite season.

  1. It doesn’t make sense that Season One was voted one of the top best seasons in the previous poll, AND voted one of the top WORST seasons in THIS poll.

But why is Season Eight so low on this poll? If you ask me, that was the beginning of the end for the show for me.

  2. This one was easy for me. Season 11 has the most episodes which I skip over. When I’m watching through the seasons, there’s a sense of “oh goodness, here they come” when approaching those last 3 or 4 seasons. I don’t understand how season 1 gets second worst. Season one is tops.
