Oh wow!! This one is a stumper……I will, however, say this is from ‘Our Finest Hour’
Wow, no clue on this one!
All three of my guesses have already been done before.
Well, Deluge has newsreels interspersed throughout, but that was just a few episodes ago – unless of course this is a trick since no one got Deluge. So my first guess is Deluge.
But in the absence of it being that one – I’ll say Showtime.
I was just looking up this newsreel (for real) and it appears this headline may address the removal of MacArthur in Korea on April 11, 1951 – where Truman defends his decision to do so, as MacArthur wanted to WIN a war, and Truman was trying to PREVENT World War III.
So, if that info helps anyone….. or maybe not.
another piece of “trivia” I just looked up “Anthony Muto” who is credieted with arranging this clip, on line, and it appears to be authentic footage, as “Tony Muto” shows up in the minutes of a meeting that Truman had with journalists as a representative of Fox Newsreels. So, Fox must have dug into their own newsreels for these little snippets we get as we go along. Off topic I know
Well, the guesses are narrowed down to either “The Interview” (4×25), or either of the “Our Finest Hour” episodes (7×04 and 7×05)… I think Chai got it, the quality of the screencap looks like that or a poor VHS, and we know that “Our Finest Hour” was damaged, and they had to use the syndicated print for the DVD.
OK, my last guess, and my real guess. “Give em Hell Hawkeye” – and now I’ll stop. Erase the other two. This is my final answer.

Just so y’all know, there are five episodes at least that have been used a second time. So…. sometimes that is not a disqualifier. 🙂
