A brief profile of Wayne Rogers, as told by the man himself, was published in The New York Times on December 12th. Titled “Stage and Screen (and Retail),” the profile can be found in The Boss column in the Jobs section. It mostly covers how Rogers got into acting and later into investing. M*A*S*H is mentioned just once:
Around 1971 we did the pilot of “MASH,” in which I played Trapper John for three years. It was a wonderful experience, and I’ll tell you why. Alan Alda and I came to it with the same attitude — that the work, and not the trappings of the work, was the most important thing. After that, a TV show called “House Calls” and another series, “City of the Angels.” Then I did a number of movies.
