      I think it’s:

      “Dear Uncle Abdul” (8×12)

    2. PinkPagoda says:

      I’m going with “Dear Peggy”

    3. Big Daddy O'Reilly says:

      Pinky’s right again!!!

For the record, I’ve been trying for YEARS to learn the name of the tune Mulcahy’s playing during the opening of this episode… does anyone here have any clue?

    4. Hey everyone, check out my new site. Just click on my name and you’ll be there.

It’s M*A*S*H related, with a quote game, a poll, and a post about signed autographs.

RJ, don’t forget to add it to your links! You’ll notice I’ve already added this site.

      See you all there!

    5. Chuckles says:

I agree, I think Dear Peggy is right. The scene starts with the piano playing I believe and then turns to BJ who is writing a letter to Peg explaining how things are so boring when they aren’t working.

    6. Eye of the Hawk says:

I gotta start skipping school to get a couple of these challenges in. lol

    7. RJ says:

PinkPagoda is correct. Big Daddy O’Reilly, I believe the piece of music is called “Bethena,” composed by Scott Joplin.

Mrs. Frank Burns, I just posted about your site and I made an attempt to guess your first Frankism.

    8. Big Daddy O'Reilly says:

      THANK YOU RJ!!!

    9. Eric says:

I agree with Eye of the Hawk – my classes are getting in the way of me playing!!

    10. PinkPagoda says:

BDOR – RJ’s naming of the piece Bethena is correct. Scott Joplin wrote it right after the death of his wife, and it sounds quite a bit like “The Entertainer” – but it is more melancholy. You can hear it throughout the movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”.

In fact, it was my earlier research of this piece that told me the episode was “Dear Peggy”, because I knew that was the one where Father Mulcahey played Bethena in the beginning.

I seem to have broken the curse!!!!
